By Bree | 27th Oct 2015 | Posted in Quickies

We’ve created a series of bite-sized blog posts just long enough to give you the downlow on all kinds of digital wizardry, because we love sharing our knowledge and know-how. Get tips for improving your social media efforts, discover powerful PR tricks, and learn all kinds of hacks to make your work life easier. Here is our super quick tip of the week.

What?

Re-posting a follower’s image and giving them credit for it can make your brand more personable, whilst also raising engagement with your audience. In an age when everyone and their dog (literally) has an Instagram profile, knowing neat tricks like re-gramming can set you apart from the crowd and spread some good vibes!

Why?

  • To engage with your followers and enter competitions.
  • Regramming is the best way to involve your followers with your brand and start conversations.
  • Can create new followers by cross promotion of Instagram accounts.
  • This feature also makes it possible for you to hold competitions to raise awareness and spread the name of your brand by offering prizes.

How?

There are a few different ways to do this.

  1. Using a re-posting app:
To re-post images from Instagram you can download a free app for IOS and Android. Connect this app to your Instagram account by logging in. You’re ready to go! Select a photo and the re-post app will automatically copy the caption and username of the person who posted the image. It is polite not to delete this.
  2. Screenshot:
Take a screenshot of the image and post it to your own Instagram! Don’t forget to add the name of the author of the photo!
  3. Iconosquare
You can sign up for Iconosquare (formerly known as Statigram) to look at other user's photos on your browser. By clicking the picture you would like to share you will be able to see the repost button below it. You may then preview the image that will be shared. Click “send me by email”, to receive the image. You can then save the image from your email onto your phone’s gallery and upload it to Instagram as you usually would.
