The social media platform Pinterest allows users to “pin” or bookmark images, videos and more to a pinboard, allowing you to curate and share the content you love the most. People typically create different boards for different topics, so pins relating to one topic can be found together. A user’s profile shows all of the (public) boards a user has. Not everyone knows, however, that it is possible to reorder Pinterest boards on your profile.
There are a couple of reasons why you might want to reorder your Pinterest boards. Firstly, it’s a great way to keep your profile looking fresh and relevant. If you pin seasonal content, such as Christmas decoration ideas, then you may not want this to be the first thing a fellow pinner sees when they visit your profile in July. Instead, you can shuffle the boards around, keeping current boards at the top, and similarly unseasonal boards at the bottom of your profile.
Another useful way Pinterest marketers may want to use this feature, is to test what new followers most want to see on first visiting your profile. Pinterest Analytics shows you which your most popular pins and boards are, so you may want these to be in a prominent position on your profile.
It couldn’t be simpler to reorder Pinterest boards, it’s just a case of drag and drop! To reorder your Pinterest boards:
